March 21, 2013: Bueller, Bueller, Bueller.

There are some people who are awesome without really trying. Gary Oldman is one of those people. Oldman was Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movies, James Gordon in the Batman series and a Russian terrorist in Air Force One (one of the movies I always stop and watch when it is on). Gary Oldman is one of my favorite actors and he was born on this date in 1958. In our little corner of the world, he played Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim in Disney’s A Christmas Carol. In honor of Gary Oldman, lets go to Walt Disney World, visit one of the Christmas stores and get ready for the holidays. It’s only nine months away?

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller. Matthew Broderick was born on this date in 1962. In my mind, Broderick will always be Ferris Bueller, always skipping school, staying one step ahead of the man. In our little World in Florida, Broderick will always be adult Simba in the various Lion King movies. This one’s easy, get to the Animal Kingdom and enjoy the Festival of the Lion King.

On this date in 1952, music changed forever. Cleveland, Ohio DJ, Alan Freed presented the Moondog Coronation Ball at the old Cleveland Arena. 25,000 fans attend what is the first ever Rock & Roll concert. There’s music all over Walt Disney World. Go. Listen. Enjoy.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
