March 20, 2013: We mean no harm to your planet.

Today is Alien Abduction Day. I wish they still had the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter at the Magic Kingdom. It was truly scary and the Stitch attraction that replaced it is kind of gross. With all that being said; go ride Stitch’s Great Escape and pretend that he is really scary. Scream, a lot, no one will care and you might inspire others.

I first heard of Vera Lynn through Pink Floyd and their song, “Vera.” Vera was born on this day in 1917 and she was incredibly popular in England during World War II as well as the first British female singer to have a hit in the U.S. In 2009, Vera became the oldest living artist to hit number one on the British album chart. Two of her recordings, “We’ll Meet Again,” and “Wishing (Will Make It So)” are used as atmospheric music in Hollywood Studio’s Tower of Terror. Go. Ride. Enjoy.

March 20, 1954, Louis Sachar was born in East Meadow, New York. Sachar’s book Holes was released in movie form by Disney in 2003. I don’t think Disney would approve of you randomly digging holes on property.

Holly Hunter, the voice of Helen Parr / Elastigirl in The Incredibles and Penny in O Brother, Where Art Thou? was born on this day in 1958. No question here, get to Hollywood Studios for the Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun parade. It’s at 3:00 PM. Be sure to ask several cast members what time the 3:00 parade is.

Today is the Vernal Equinox. At 7:02 AM, spring begins. Spring is a wonderful time to visit WDW as long as you avoid the big spring break weeks. Everything at WDW has a wonderful spring feel and EPCOT has the Flower and Garden Festival. Have fun.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
