January 22, 2013: Everybody, everybody, everybody wants to be a cat.

Hey, it’s WDW 101, literally, blog 101. I hope you learn a little every day and I hope that you do acquire legitimate excuses to visit Walt Disney World. Well, at least excuses.
Today is National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day. Take a few minutes to look deeply into your cat’s face, your cat has a question that it really wants answered and it is your responsibility to ascertain what that question is. Don’t be surprised if it is something like, “Where’s the red dot I chase?” or “Why did you buy that food?” Anyway, everybody wants to be a cat and if you are very careful at EPCOT, you can find an Aristocat who might be able to help you figure out what it is that your cat really wants.

I am from Louisa, Kentucky and so was Frederick Moore Vinson. Fred M. Vinson was elected to the House of Representatives from Kentucky, appointed to the post of the Secretary of the Treasury (his signature is on money from that period) and then appointed as the 13th Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. Vinson served on the court from 1946 until 1953. As the Chief Justice he swore two presidents into office, Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Having just held and inauguration, I thought this was pretty appropriate. So, in honor of a native son, let’s visit the Hall of Presidents and remember Fred Vinson when Harry Truman and Ike stand up.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
