January 14, 2013: National Dress Up Your Pet Day

Anthropomorphism is when we give animals or object human characteristics. Like a mouse being able to talk, wear clothes and have a mouse girlfriend who can also talk and wear clothes. In the spirit of anthropomorphism, today is National Dress Up Your Pet Day. Go ahead, put that witches’ hat on your cat, she’ll love it, put that Superman outfit on your Rottweiler, he won’t eat you… immediately. Then post the pictures on Facebook, I know I will. But if you want to see a bunch of animals dressed and acting like humans there is no place better than Walt Disney World. So get there now, they even have a kennel for Fritz in his Superman costume.

Today is National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day. What could be better than meat that requires no refrigeration, even in the rainforest? It’s soaked in salt water, dehydrated, smoked and then steamed and it’s sooooooooo good. First served in New York Delis in 1887, pastrami is an American favorite. At WDW you can visit Art of Animation, which has a rather eclectic menu for a value resort, and get a Pastrami Burger, Angus beef and pastrami. I wonder if they would add bacon?
Bacon is meat candy.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
