May 24, 2013: School's Out for Summer.

This is the last day of school in Lawrence County, Kentucky. It is hard to believe we have put in another year. Graduation is tonight at 7:00 PM in the Lawrence County High School Gym. Four years ago, these graduates were my students and you always have a connection with them that makes them one of your kids. Best of luck to our graduates and God bless you all.

In 1918, Peter Ellenshaw was born in London, England. We met Peter’s brother Harlan on our Disney Cruise in 2008. Both brothers are very high quality artist and did great mattes for some great movies. Peter worked on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Treasure Island, The Story of Robin Hood and Mary Poppins. Peter won an Oscar for his work on Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Go to The Magic Kingdom or the British Pavilion at EPCOT and look for Mary Poppins.

Quickies:

1965: John C. Reilly was born. John is the voice of Wreck-It Ralph. You may find Ralph around the parks and Wreck-It Ralph machines at Disney Quest or in arcades at the resorts.

1938: Tommy Chong was born. Tommy worked with Cheech Marin who starred in Beverly Hills Chihuahua, The Lion King and more. Just chill.

1940: Gary Burghoff was born. Gary was Radar in M*A*S*H. My dad was Radar. He served as a company clerk in Korea and there’s a very long story that I will tell some time, maybe Father’s Day. If you’re military, stay at Shades of Green at WDW, it’s reserved just for you.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
