September 9, 2013: Weirdness, Adam Sandler and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Being normal is vastly overrated. Why be the same, when you can be different, just like everyone else? Let’s face it, what’s normal about hanging out with a giant mouse and princesses, cartoon characters and mythological characters, jungle creatures and monsters from an alternate universe. Celebrate your weirdness. Walt built an empire counting on people embracing their weirdness.

Adam Sandler was born on this date in 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. With all the crazy pictures Sandler has done at least two have Disney connections: The Waterboy was released through Touchstone Pictures and Bedtime Stories, a definite family friendly film released by Walt Disney Pictures. Remember, at Disney, high quality H2O is free for the asking.

Harland Sanders was born on this day in 1890 in Henryville, Indiana. Later in life, while trying to sell pressure cookers, he promoted his chicken recipe. Colonel Sanders eventually became famous for his Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe. Walt Disney World doesn’t sell Kentucky Fried Chicken but they do have some mighty good chicken nuggets. Enjoy!

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
