December 23. 2012: Candlelight Processional

Today is the last Sunday before Christmas. This will be our last church service before Christmas Day and the service will be broadcast on WFGH Radio, Saturday at 2 PM. There is some snow on the ground and a nip in the air, perfect weather. If we can just get a bit more snow before Tuesday, that would be awesome.

I’m making this one quick. The number one excuse for visiting WDW today is the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT.  I think Walt would have enjoyed this ceremony, perhaps more than anything that WDW does at Christmas. The processional sums up so many aspects of the American celebration of Christmas and Walt was all about American culture, patriotism and respect for our Christian values. So visit EPCOT tonight, take in the Candlelight Processional and walk away with a little more Christmas spirit.

Speaking of Christmas spirit, check out my Christmas story, “Bright Winter Solstice,” in the December 21st blog. I think you’ll be glad you did.

God bless, Merry Christmas and remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
