Today is Best Friends
Day. Best friends are the family you would have if you could pick your family.
In the best of all situations, your best friends are your family. In the best
of the best of all situations, your best friend is your life partner. Those are
the relationships that last for a lifetime. I will be married for twenty-five
years this October. I have been to Walt Disney World with my best friend eight
times. Take your best friend to the most Magical Place on Earth.

Today is National
Relaxation Day. Chill. Take care of business and then chill again. Repeat. Go
to Walt Disney World, even better, go on a Disney Cruise. That’s relaxing.

Ned Washington was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Washington was nominated for
an Oscar twelve times and helped write: “When You Wish Upon A Star,” “Baby
Mine,” and the title song for Saludos
Amigos. With a tear in my eye, I tell you, go to the Magic Kingdom and stay
until the end of the day for Wishes. Wishes is the nightly firework show and
features “When You Wish Upon A Star.” It’s not a trip without it.

2009, on The
Boardwalk, Kouzzina by Cat Cora opened on this date. Kouzzina serves Greek and
Mediterranean cuisine and my kids say that Kouzzina, by itself, makes the
dining plan worth it. They love it and you will too.
