June 20, 2013: Monstrous Summer

I’m on vacation but we are still here to serve you.

Today is American Eagle Day. You should really take a minute to read all the reasons that American Eagle Day was proposed. I was overwhelmed. Let’s go to Hollywood Studios and watch Muppetvision 3-D and Sam the Eagle.

On this day in 1952, John Goodman was born. John is Dan Conner, James P. Sullivan, Sullivan Truck (Cars), “Big Daddy” La Bouff and the one-eyed Bible salesman in Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou? All of Walt Disney World is appropriate at this point as it is the “Monstrous” Summer.

Quickies:

1863: West Virginia is admitted as the 35th state. I can throw a rock from my property into West Virginia (across the river). Do The American Adventure at EPCOT. I will.

1928: Martin Landau was born in Brooklyn, New York. Landau has a long and esteemed career and then he was in Ed Wood with Johnny Depp. Ed Wood is one of my favorite movies and Johnny Depp is awesome as the cross-dressing, crazed director but Landau is beyond belief as Bela Lugosi. Just go watch it and do some Johnny Depp stuff at WDW.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
