April 8, 2013: Paging Mr. Lennon and son.

We have a light day today. What a great day yesterday was! Beautiful! If only this weekend was last weekend for Easter. Last Sunday’s weather was horrid but today was awesome. Here’s looking forward to Spring winning out over winter and outdoor weather ruling for the next seven months or so.

Today in 1984, Kirsten Storms was born in Orlando, Florida. Kirsten’s credits include: Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Zenon: The Zequel, Zenon: Z3, Belle’s Tales of Friendship, Sing Me a Story with Belle, Kim Possible, Johnny Tsunami, That’s so Raven and General Hospital. Since most of her roles take place in the future let’s go to Tomorrowland in The Magic Kingdom and look forward to our future.

Today in 1963, Julian Lennon, John’s oldest son was born. Julian had a really good album, “Valotte,” back in the day. He definitely favors his father and sounds a bit like him as well. The story is told that Julian was with his father at the Polynesian Resort, December 29, 1974, when John signed the papers that disbanded The Beatles. In an earlier blog I shared a story about John and Julian riding the monorail during that trip. Honor Julian’s birthday with a meal at the Polynesian, the Kona CafĂ© or O’Hana’s are both great options.

Today is Buddha Day. If you are a Buddhist or like observing religious holidays, this is your day. I think that you should find a nice quiet spot at WDW, let me suggest the waterfall in the Canadian pavilion (didn’t know there was one? Exactly.). Enjoy.

This is Trading Cards for Grown-ups Day. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Get to the Fire Station and get your cards.

Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting for your dreams to come true.
