On this date in 1791, James Buchanan, the fifteenth United States President, is born in a
log cabin at Cove Gap, Pennsylvania. The last president to be born in the
eighteenth century, to date he is also the only president from the state of
Pennsylvania and the only president to remain a bachelor. Honor Buchanan at The

Shirley Jane Temple, the popular child star who presented Walt Disney
with special Oscars for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, is born in Santa Monica, California on
this date in 1928. As an adult, Shirley Temple Black took part in
a 1957 Disneyland dedication served as a U. S. ambassador
and later served on the board of directors of some of several companies including
The Walt Disney Company. With Snow White’s Scary Adventure now in the past,
your best bet to honor Temple is breakfast at Akershus in the Norway Pavilion
at EPCOT where you can meet all the princesses.

I am a hillbilly and on this date in 1900 the
New York Journal published the first know occurrence of the word “hillbillie.”
As a hillbilly, I think a trip down Splash Mountain would be appropriate. Just
trust me.
1985: Whatever the reason, Coca-Cola announced
it was changing the formula for Coke. You can try to figure it out but no one
ever has and no one ever will. Go to Club Cool in EPCOT and try different Coke
products from around the world.
