Last night we went to
the Paramount Art Center in Ashland, Kentucky for the 7 PM performance of the
“Wizard of Oz.” We loved it, I know we are prejudiced, but we absolutely loved
the show. Our son, Matt, was a Winkie, one of the Wicked Witch’s guards but
that was not the only connection we had to the show. Here’s a few more kids
that we knew in the show: Austin Muncy as a flying monkey, Wyatt Wheeler as a
dancer in a number of sets, Shaylon Moore as a Munchkin, Ani Whelan as a
Munchkin, Wesley Whelan, in a couple of roles. There were more but we didn’t
even know they were in the show until we watched it. There are two more shows,
today at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The house was packed last night so do not delay
and get there early today. You can also use this as an excuse to visit Walt
Disney World, get to Hollywood Studios and ride The Great Movie Ride where you
will get to see a couple of scenes from the
Wizard of Oz.

On this date in 1751, James Madison, the fourth United States President, was born in
Port Conway, Virginia. Considered one of the Founding Fathers of the
United States of America, Madison was also the "Father of the
Constitution" - the principal author of the document. Visit him and
all the U.S. Chief Executives at Walt Disney World's The Hall of
Presidents.
Remember, your best excuse is always: waiting
for your dreams to come true.
