School
started back yesterday. It was a rather uneventful day and today we get back to
full speed. We are now three days into the third nine weeks and everything
looks fine.
January 4,
1905, Sterling Holloway was born in Cedartown, GA. Sterling did a bit of work
for Disney including: Mr. Stork in Dumbo,
Flower in Bambi, Professor
Holloway in The Three Caballeros, Kaa
in The Jungle Book and, lest we
forget, he was the original voice of Winnie The Pooh. So let’s do a double header to celebrate without even
leaving Fantasyland. Honor Sterling by riding the Winnie the Pooh ride and
Dumbo. You’ll be glad you did.
It’s National
Spaghetti Day. My son, Matt, loves Italian Food and no trip is complete without
stopping at an Italian restaurant and getting some good pasta. We’ve already
talked about how much we love Corleone’s in Savannah, GA but don’t forget Tony’s.
While we’re at the Magic Kingdom, let’s getting some spaghetti at Tony’s. I
like mine with the big Italian sausage on top. Mmmmmmmmm.
It’s also National Trivia Day. Come on,
celebrate it; it’s what we do here every day. Let me tell you something that
you might not think about, go to any Disney Park and strike up a conversation,
ask questions, you WILL learn. Cast members know their stuff, many visitors
know their stuff, people come here again and again because it is more than just
attractions, it’s the story as well.
Remember, your best excuse is always:
waiting for your dreams to come true.
